That's a great question! As you might know, Wunderling DX is already out on Steam. So why would you pick it up on Epic instead? You decide! There are no significant differences between the two stores as far as we're concerned. We want to share the game with as many players as possible. So if you prefer Epic to Steam, this one's for you!

But we have personal reasons to release our game on Epic, beyond the benefit of giving players options. First of all, we made Wunderling DX entirely in Epic's Unreal Engine 4. So an Epic release seems only fitting. Maybe UE4 sounds overkill, but we couldn't be happier! It's a great engine that works for any game, big or small. It provides stability and strong platform support that we hope more indies embrace in the future.
During development, Epic supported us with a MegaGrant. It's financial support for Unreal developers, and it felt beyond amazing to stand among the recipients. For a small team like us, the grant validated our efforts and gave us further motivation to push beyond our limits.
If you'd rather play Wunderling DX on Steam, please do! It's also available on Nintendo Switch. The base game, Wunderling, is available on both PlayStation and Xbox.
